“Your potential is God’s gift to you, what you do with it is your gift to Him,” is one of my favorite quotes attributed to John C. Maxwell. It highlights Lifescaping’s approach to leadership development for individuals and teams.
Your potential
Every person has potential, and only with personal effort and support from those around them will that potential be tapped and maximized.
God’s gift
Each of us are endowed by God with spiritual, physical, mental and emotional gifts and talents. We are all unique and our gifts are different. One of the joys of life is learning what those gifts are and how to maximize them to benefit yourself and others.
What you do with it
This requires “action.” As John C. Maxwell says, “Leadership is influence. Nothing more, nothing less.” Being intentional about growth and development will result in actions that make us a positive influence in all aspects of life.
Gift to Him
We honor God with our gifts. Learning about our gifts, developing them and then using them to benefit others is among the greatest gifts we can give.

About Don Walter
Don Walter is a leadership coach, speaker, trainer, and business owner with more than 40 years of professional experience in the manufacturing and financial sectors. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about helping people grow personally and professionally, believing that intentional and consistent personal development is the foundation of effective leadership.
As the owner of South Carolina’s first Mathnasium Learning Center, Don has combined his entrepreneurial spirit with his commitment to developing confidence and potential in others. His dedication to serving extends beyond business through years of leadership in his church, including lay leadership and youth ministry, as well as serving as a leader in the Scouting program.
Don is a certified speaker, trainer, and coach with the John C. Maxwell Team and a certified DISC consultant. Through Lifescaping, he equips emerging leaders with practical tools, personalized coaching, and engaging training experiences that help individuals and teams lead with integrity, purpose, and a servant’s heart.
